How I learned to stop losing my cool with my kids.

Tracey Lynn Pearson grew up in Detroit, Michigan. It is here where her passion for helping others began.  In Detroit, Ms. Pearson worked with homeless populations while beginning her degree in social work. After moving to Nebraska, she began working at Boys Town and remained there for 17 years while securing her MSW. Ms. Pearson’s effort and training in the mental health field have made a large impact in the greater Omaha area where she now lives. The primary focus of Ms. Pearson’s work is healing trauma, with a specialization in treating traumatic stress, major mental health disorders, suicide and self-harm, and race-based and spiritual trauma. Ms. Pearson holds a certificate in eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and hypnotherapy.  To further increase her skills, Ms. Pearson is training in child-parent psychotherapy (CPP). A specialized therapy to address trauma in children ages 0 to 5. She is the owner of Restoration and Peace Counseling and Mindfully Refreshed Emotional Wellness.

Most recently, Ms. Pearson added somatic treatment to her therapies by gaining a certificate in Meditation and becoming a registered yoga teacher.  "These skills assist with implementing mindful resources to have a refreshed, nurtured and peaceful life for those who are overwhelmed, stressed or anxious.
